The following reports have been published as a result of studies, funded by grants from the Ford, Kellogg, Nellie Mae, and Wallace Foundations to study on public school district governance and its impact on improving student achievement.

NESDEC compiles mail packets for affiliated districts. The mail packets include:
- Catalyst for Change, a journal of the National School Development Council is of particular interest to practicing educators. The National School Development Council is an organization comprised of school study councils across the United States. The Catalyst for Change is published at the Pennsylvania State University in the fall and spring of each year, and presently has a national and international subscription list
- Current Events, a NESDEC newsletter noting NESDEC activities and items of interests to New England educators
